In Palm Beach County, less than half of the condominiums requiring inspections by year-end have been inspected. Out of 600 buildings aged 30 years or older, only 210 have passed inspections, with 90 under review and 40 requesting extensions. A total of 260 condo associations have not submitted inspection reports. The low inspection numbers may be attributed to a shortage of qualified engineers and architects. The building department is considering reminders for associations that have not complied with the inspection requirements.
